Cassper Nyovest speaks about AKA’s death and their collabo
Cassper Nyovest bares his thoughts and emotions following the death of Kiernan AKA Forbes.
AKA died on the 10th of February 2023 after being shot and killed in Durban.
In a recent interview with SA Hip Hop mag, Nyovest said he regrets that they were unable to squash their beef before Kiernan’s death.
“Of course now because [he’s gone], but we were just in the moment and I think we were all at the moment.”
“I really thought it was you know we had to fight, I keep saying and I met his father and we joked about it and he said (“do you think if you guys fought do you think you would’ve won? I was like yeah I would have kicked his a**s”). That’s how I thought it was going to go. I thought after that would be able to be okay or make music.”
Cassper revealed that he hoped to record a song with Kiernan after settling their differences in the boxing ring.
“I thought we were going to get into the boxing ring and handle it there. I thought after that we would be OK and make music. Well, we do have music together that people have never heard. We made a few records together.”
