GBV: Emtee granted bail.
Emtee hands himself over to the police after his wife, Nicole Kendall Chinsamy accused him of assault.
Two weeks ago, the rapper trended on different social media platforms after he went live on Instagram to reveal the altercation between him and his wife.
During the Live chat, the wife claimed she was abused by her husband on Valentine’s day; she proceeded to show viewers a photo of her bruises sustained from the abuse.

Emtee’s pregnant partner opened a case of assault against him at the Midrand Police station, and he appeared in court the same day where he was granted R 2000 bail.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo confirmed the rapper’s willingness to cooperate with the law; he also confirmed that it was indeed a Gender Based Violence case.
“The police can confirm that the suspect handed himself to the police on Wednesday 08 March and he was charged with assault. He was taken to Midrand Magistrates Court the same day where he was granted R2000 bail”.

Emtee denied hitting his wife after the assault case made its way to the public.
In 2020, the rapper suffered the same fate as his wife after revealing that his wife and her mother abuse him, including her brother.
“Both mother and daughter took turns choking me trying to suffocate me. Now the weightlifting brother is threatening to kill me,” wrote Emtee.
