NEW: Yanga Chief’s ‘Lord Faku’ Dominate Charts

There is a reawakening happening currently in the Hip-hop music scene and if you are yet to observe it, then you should pay attention to the charts. A couple of days ago, Yanga Chief dropped his long awaited album, ‘Lord Faku – The Life Of A Dyan,’ and within some hours, it has dominated the charts and currently occupies the number 1 spot on the Hip-hop category on SA ITunes.

Yanga Chief is no newcomer in the music scene as the rapper has been pushing out bangers in the Hip-hop scene for quite some time, and have garnered one of the most loyal followings in the SA music space. Known for his lyrical prowess, he remains one of the few who has kept things alive with his contents and so far continues to retain all relevance with more fresh entries.

The hip-hop music scene in South Africa has declined in relevance ever since the emergence of local genres such as Amapiano, Gqom and Lekompo. While it barely dominated the airwaves, Hip-hop artists have held tight their corners and now the genre is now sharing spots with the bigger boys.

A couple of days back, Yanga Chief dropped his long awaited album, ‘Lord Faku,’ and within just a few hours, it’s already topping the charts. With 17-track and boasting of collaboration from Khuli Chana, HENNYBELIT, Ricky Tyler, Nay The Bae, Nue Sam and 25K, this album is a perfect works of art.
