Amapiano producer and hitmaker, Dj Maphorisa has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend and former Generations actor Thuli Phongolo in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The ugly incident occurred after Phongolo confronted Maphorisa about an argument they had started at the gig they were both attended. Things quickly spiraled out of control which led to DJ Maphorisa assaulting the female deejay and actress, Thuli Phongolo. In response, Phongolo reached out to the police which led to the arrest of the piano lord.
DJ Maphorisa is currently being kept at the Sandton Police Station and will appear in Randburg Magistrate court Tomorrow. According to multiple sources, the couple have been going through some relationship challenges as a result of infidelity by either of them.
