Yes, we know we’re mad late to this one, but still – the latest from Mississauga based singer Anders is well deserving of a second wind. At the end of December, Anders dropped off “Why,” which features an eerie, hypnotic banger from the talented FrancisGotHeat. On that note, Francis lives up to his name with this one; the carnival-esque, pitched-down synths are a perfect compliment to Anders’ pristine vocals. In terms of vibe, it’s sort of reminiscent of 6lack’s blend of off-kilter rnb, and while Anders isn’t exactly covering any new melodic ground, “Why” remains an impressive offering from the up-and-comer.
